Peter William "Pete" Postlethwaite is one of Hollywood’s underrated brilliant actors. He was a British actor for stage, television, and film. His first breakthrough came with the movie Distant Voices Still Lives in 1988. After that came a string of commercially successfully movies like Alien 3, In the Name of the Father, Amistad, The Constant Gardener, The Age of Stupid, Romeo and Juliet, and Aeon Flux. This actor, who was born in Washington in 1946, taught drama before he turned serious in his acting career. Renowned director praised him for his excellent craft even calling him the “best actor in the world” after working together in the movie, The Lost World: Jurassic Park. To this, Postlethwaite replied humbly, “he probably meant that I think I am the best actor in the world.” During his career, Postlethwaite received an Academy Award nomination for his role in the movie In the Name of the Father in 1993.
